Barcelona are willing to sell David Villa in the summer - but will demand at least €20 million for the 31-year-old striker according to Mundo Deportivo.

Villa has endured a tumultuous season to date since returning from a broken leg, and has found first team action hard to come by.

The former Valencia forward has made just eight league starts this season, and while he has six goals to his name including one in Barcelona's 6-1 rout of Getafe on Sunday, he suffered another setback after being admitted to hospital this week with kidney stones. He has since left hospital, only to be readmitted today.

Arsenal were linked with a move for Villa in the January transfer window, however Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed that Barcelona weren't willing to do business.

Despite that, reports emerged suggesting Villa wold be open to a move to the Emirates Stadium if Barcelona could not guarantee him first team football.

Arsenal could well return for the Spanish record goal-scorer in the summer - although recent reports suggest Wenger has now set his sights on Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic instead - but are likely to be put off  by a fee of around €20 million for a player in his 30's.

Should the Gunners baulk at Villa's price tag, the Barcelona player is unlikely to be short of alternative suitors.
