Manchester United star quashes Old Trafford exit talk
Manchester United news: David De Gea reveals he's very happy in Manchester
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was the star of the show at the Bernabeu on Wednesday evening - and revealed after the game that he's happy with life at Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old keeper has been linked with a summer move away from the Red Devils - a return to Spain has been mooted - but De Gea insists he's enjoying life at United.
The former-Atletico Madrid shot-stopper kept United in the game in the Spanish capital, saving twice from Real Madrid fullback Fabio Coentrao, and drew praise from United boss Sir Alex Ferguson for his display.
Danny Welbeck's 20th-minute goal opened the scoring, before a towering Cristiano Ronaldo header levelled the scores before half-time.
The match eventually finished 1-1, with the return leg pencilled in for March 5, and De Gea admitted after the match that he's happier than he's ever been with his situation at Old Trafford.
Speaking to reporters, and quoted on Goal.com after the match at the Bernabeu, De Gea said: "I am very happy in Manchester. Every day I am happier."
The Spaniard has come in for criticism this season, but turned in his best display in a United shirt to restrict the La Liga champions to a single goal.
Jose Mourinho's side peppered his net, chalking up 29 shots on goal, but De Gea twice saved from Coentrao in spectacular fashion - the first a stunning full-stretch dive to tip onto the post, and the second an unorthodox stop with his foot.
De Gea said: "Stopping Coentrao? That was just a very quick decision. I was acting on instinct.
"It was a great match. Real Madrid and Manchester United did very well. [Madrid] have a very strong attack, so we needed to be strong in defence.
"Real Madrid will attack at Old Trafford. They know they have to win to advance and we will do our best to stop them."
