Ronaldinho proved that class is permanent with a very cheeky assist in the  Copa Libertadores match which saw Atletico Mineiro beat Sao Paulo 2-1 in an all-Brazilian affair.

Ronaldinho helped his side win with two assists and although the second was a darting run down the line with a sensational cross, his first was somewhat lucky and very cheeky.

Due to a mouth injury in the 13th minute, Ronaldinho stayed in the penalty area and took some water from Sao Paulo’s goalkeeper.

The delay meant the former Barcelona star was not up with the play, and from a long throw-in, Ronaldinho teed up teammate Jo to score one of the most bizarre goals of recent times.

Ronaldinho denied that he knew what he was doing and claimed it was pure luck.

Speaking after the game, he said: "It was luck. I was cleaning my mouth and the referee played on.

"It was not rehearsed or anything, no, it was luck."
