Cesc Fabregas has expressed his desire to play alongside Germany international Mesut Ozil.
Ozil, 24, is one of Real Madrid's most important players, so a move to Barcelona from the Catalan club's fiercest rival seems unlikely.
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell recently revealed that he wanted to bring one Madrid player to the Nou Camp, but refused to confirm the identity of the mystery man.
Speaking to Marca.com, Rosell said: "There is a Real Madrid player that I greatly admire, but I'm not saying who because all hell would break loose."
Fabregas has weighed in and increased speculation that Ozil is the man in question.
The Spaniard added: "I admire him (Ozil) a lot.
"I can relate to him because he plays in that roaming attacking midfield role that I played in at Arsenal and I think we would play well together.
"I can relate to him, we're very similar."
Fabgreas also spoke about his long-term ambitions with his boyhood club. Barcelona look destined to win the La Liga title, and the former Arsenal midfielder admitted there's another trophy he so desperately craves.
"For me, winning the Champions League with Barça would be a dream come true," said Fabregas.
Tito Vilanova's side take on AC Milan in the last-16 of the competition, and the 25-year-old midfielder has warned his teammates that they face a stern test if they are to progress.
Fabregas added: "Even though people say that it isn't the Milan of recent years, it's going to be a very demanding game at the San Siro - which is a tough stadium to play in - and we’re going to have to play to the very best of our ability."
