As Chelsea continue to be linked with some of the top strikers in world football in a bid to replace their former talisman Didier Drogba, there is one man staking a claim to fill the void.
Already a Chelsea player, Romelu Lukaku, currently on loan at West Brom, has made a huge impact this season scoring 10 goals in 14 starts for the club, and this won't have gone unnoticed.
With Fernando Torres still trying to rediscover his brilliant form from his days at Liverpool, the signing of Demba Ba may not be enough for Chelsea.
The Belgium international, not even 20 until May, was signed by Chelsea from Anderlecht in August 2011 for a fee rising to £18 million.
However, with limited appearances in his first season in West London, the striker failed to score and it was decided that he would be loaned out to further his footballing education in the Premier League.
Since his move to West Brom, he has managed to find the net ten times in the league, three more times than Torres who is currently the main striker at Stamford Bridge.
A strong, physical presence, with energy that makes him difficult to handle, there have already been comparisons to Chelsea favourite Drogba.
With the arrival of Demba Ba, Lukaku will have to battle with the competition for a place up front. But if Torres is sold, then the 19-year-old striker may sense an opportunity to establish himself and prove to Roman Abramovich that he does not need to spend millions this summer.
