Manchester United winger Nani was involved in a collision with a police car on Friday, it has been reported.
A police driver who was responding to an emergency call in an unmarked car has been suspended following the incident, which occurred in Gately, Stockport on Friday evening, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed.
The car collided with Nani's Bentley Continental, causing damage to both vehicles. A passenger in the police car received treatment for minor injuries, while the 26-year-old Manchester United player appears to have been unhurt in the accident.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The police driver has been suspended from driving duties in line with normal procedure."
Nani hasn't featured for Manchester United since the start of February, and failed to make the subs bench for the Red Devils' Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Portuguese winger has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent months, and is said to be stalling on signing a new deal while he wieghs up his future.
The impending arrival of Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has also cast doubt over his future at Manchester United.
