Brazilian superstar Neymar was told by Santos manager Muricy Ramalho that he needs to 'keep out of trouble' following his sending off in the defeat to Ponte Preta on Sunday.

Neymar received his marching orders after aiming a kick at opposition defender Arthur, before the 21-year-old reported Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United target was pushed to the ground as a melee ensued.

Santos lost the encounter 3-1 but are likely to count the loss of Neymar for three matches as a greater concern, and the club's boss says his young charge must show more consideration for his teammates from now on.

"He needs to keep out of trouble," Ramalho said, as reported by The Sun.

"Without Neymar, we lose his speed, which is our main attacking weapon. We really suffer when he gets sent off."
