In the January transfer window Molde FK sold their star centre-back Vegard Forren to Southampton FC. Moving into the pre-season after that their results have been less than great.

Their latest match was against fellow Norwegian Premier League side Songdal Fotball, the home club of former Chelsea striker Tore Andre Flo, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Songdal, which finished 12th out of 16 in the Norwegian league last year as Molde defended their title, were seen as a massive underdog before this pre-season encounter.

Ole Gunnar Solskaer said to Molde FK's local online TV-station MFK-TV that results are not the most important part early on in the pre-season and that he is thrilled with some of the attacking displays, but he is however annoyed with the fact that they conceded yet another late goal.

Molde's previous game before this against Brann FK from Bergen also ended in a 2-2 draw after conceding a late goal and losing their lead in the dying minutes of the game.

Molde will complete their pre-season in Spain, where they head on February 25, to play strong Russian opponentsFC Lokomotiv Moscow, FC Anzhi Makhachkla and PFC CSKA Moscow. They will return to Norway on March 7 as the new season begins on March 15.
