Fiorentina have admitted they would be interested in signing Liverpool striker Fabio Borini at the end of the session, according to Goal.com.

The Serie 'A' club sit sixth in the league, 13 points behind league leaders Juventus. But the club's sporting director Daniele Prade has revealed he's looking to bring in another goalscorer in the summer, with Liverpool's Fabio Borini and Roma's Pablo Osvaldo topping his shortlist.

The Florence-based team signed Giuseppe Rossi in the January transfer window, but speculation is mounting that current top scorer Stevan Jovetic could be set to quit the club at the end of the season.

Prade is thought to be putting together a list of targets should Jovetic leave the club, with the former-teammates Borini and Osvaldo the main priorities.

Borini and Osvaldo played together at Roma before Borini made the switch to Liverpool in the summer of 2012. The former-Chelsea striker played under Reds boss Brendan Rodgers at Stamford Bridge and at Swansea, but he's strugged with injury under the Northern Irishman at Anfield.

The Italy international was recently ruled out for the rest of the season with a dislocated shoulder.

But Fiorentina's sporting director Prade has insisted he's still a target for the Serie 'A' club, although he admitted it would be difficult to tempt either forward to Florence.

Speaking to Radio Toscana, Prade said: "We are looking for a forward with the hunger for goals. A player who lives to score goals.

"We like Fabio Borini, but it is unlikely that Liverpool will want to let him go.

"Osvaldo? I do not think that Roma will want to strengthen a direct rival of theirs, but you can never say never."
