Diego Maradona has a habit of providing moments of unbridled joy for Argentina, and he hopes to do so again in the future after revealing his dream to see his newborn son play in the same national team as the offspring of Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero.
Maradona became a father again last week after former partner Victoria Ojeda gave birth to Diego Fernando in Buenos Aires, less than four months after the arrival of Thiago Messi, son of Barcelona superstar Lionel.
The 52-year-old former World Cup winner is the grandfather to Benjamin Ageuro, with Manchester City's Sergio Aguero married to his daughter Giannina, and has now outlined his desire for the trio of youngsters to eventually star together for Argentina.
"One of them will have to play as a midfielder. I think Thiago [Messi] will command the others," Maradona said, as reported by the Daily Mail.
"Benjamin [Aguero] will play as a forward and Thiago will play alongside Dieguito Fernando."
Messi, meanwhile, will be in action on Wednesday night as Barcelona face AC Milan at the San Siro in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 encounter.
The 25-year-old forward will be looking to continue a streak that has seen him score in his last 10 games for Barcelona, while his record stands at 14 consecutive goalscoring performances in La Liga.
