Scott Parker recognises that Tottenham must be at their best if they are to overcome Lyon and progress to the round of 16 in the Europa League tomorrow night.
Spurs have had the luxury of having a full week to prepare for their second leg clash with the French outfit, having not been involved in last weekend's FA Cup action.
Andre Villas-Boas' side go into the game with a 2-1 first leg lead after Gareth Bale’s heroics at White Hart Lane last week.
The Welsh wing wizard hit two sublime free-kicks to give Spurs a narrow advantage, the latter coming with virtually the last kick of the game in what could prove to be a priceless goal.
Scott Parker, who also featured in last week’s game, has insisted that Spurs must go to Lyon with the mentality to win.
Parker told Tottenham’s official website: “Of course, not conceding a goal would be ideal but we can’t go there with the mentality of trying to get a 0-0 draw.
“We need to be solid defensively but at the same time we have players who can cause them problems.
"We’ve got to be ourselves, to try and nick a goal and win the game.”
Parker recognises the difficulties Lyon could pose, especially with their experience in European competitions.
Parker added: “They had an overload in midfield and I don’t think they’ll play a lot differently, perhaps they’ll come out a little more, but I think they are more likely to try to hit us on the counter-attack if they can.
“We know it will be tough. They are well-organised with a wealth of Champions League experience and some very good players.
“We’ll need to be at our best to get a result but we’ve showed our quality away from home this season and we’re hoping to put in another positive performance.”
