Manchester United are still in the running to sign Robert Lewandowski, but are unwilling to meet Borussia Dortmund's valuation of the Polish striker, reports the Daily Mail.

Dortmund reportedly want £25million for Lewandowski, but United are trying to convince the Bundesliga champions to lower their asking price.

Manchester City, meanwhile, have approached Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini about succeeding Roberto Mancini in the summer, according to the Daily Express.

Mancini's position looks increasingly vulnerable with Manchester City 12 points behind Manchester United in the Premier League.

Andre Villas-Boas has called on Tottenham fans to support Arsenal in the Champions League, as their progression in the competition can help Spurs.

Villas-Boas says a longer European campaign will leave Arsenal players tired, and hopefully give Spurs the chance to secure their spot in the top four.

Finally, Gerard Pique offered no excuses after Barcelona slipped to a surprise 2-0 defeat against AC Milan in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 meeting.
