Shinji Kagawa is confident that Manchester United will get the best out of him and admits he has been slightly frustrated this season.

The Japanese International signed for The Red Devils in the summer from Borussia Dortmund for a deal worth up to £17 million.

Despite some early eye catching performances after his move to the club, Kagawa has somewhat failed to kick on from those displays and has admitted he is not happy with his performances so far.

Kagawa suggests he’s determined to show his true worth to boss Sir Alex Ferguson and wants to help The Reds win the Premier League title.

United currently lie 12 points in front of local rivals Manchester City with 11 games remaining.

The attacking midfielder has also admitted that part of the reason his form has not hit maximum potential is down to the knee injury he suffered that kept side-lined at the end of 2012. He told the official Manchester United website: “I had to go through the frustrations that come with getting injured in my first season with the team.

“Now I’m just doing my best to catch up on what I have missed.

“There’s a lot of pressure when you play for this club, but all I can do at the moment is keep working hard every day to bring out the best in me. I’m confident my hard work will pay off.”

Kagawa will hope to improve his performances throughout the rest of the season as United are in the running for another historic treble.
