With Rafael Benitez seemingly not unlikely to get a further contract past the end of this current season, Chelsea will be going into summer looking for a new manager. There are many targets that have been reported and GiveMeFootball looks at who would be the best man for the job.
Jose Mourinho - Currently at Real Madrid
This would be a welcome appointment for Chelsea fans as they would love to see their most successful manager come back to Stamford Bridge. Mourinho is supposedly leaving the Spanish outfit when this season is over and with his children at boarding school in England, it would seem as this move will suit him.
Furthermore, his relationship with Roman Abramovich has been healed and he still has the respect of the senior players of the club and, of course, the fans. If Abramovich wants more success at Chelsea, who better than arguably the best manager in the world.
Antonio Conte - Currently at Juventus
Conte has a fantastic record at Juventus in the past two years and has shown his class on the European stage with Juve on the brink of the last eight of the Champions League. Chelsea discovered first hand about the quality of Juventus and their structure when they went head-to-head in the group stage with Juventus coming out 3-0 winners.
Equally, he has got Juventus on the verge of retaining the Serie A title. With such experience and on such fantastic form, it is easy to see why Conte would be a good choice
Manuel Pellegrini - Currently at Malaga
Malaga are not in a great financial situation and will be prepared to let star players and staff go to ease the money problems. As it stands, Malaga are in fourth in their league and are into the last 16 of the Champions League. Pellegrini is doing a fantastic job with his current team and will be available for the right price.
It would seem like Jose Mourinho would be the best option for Chelsea as he has reportedly stated he wants to leave Real Madrid and therefore, will be available. This would also boost the Chelsea crowd as they still sing his name and think about him in high regard.
