Barcelona president Sandro Rosell claims he is unsure whether Neymar will join the Catalan giants in the near future, as speculation about an eventual transfer away from Santos continues to mount.
Neymar has been reluctant to leave Brazil despite apparent interest from almost every major club in Europe and, although rumours are rife that Barcelona and the player have a pre contract agreement, it remains unclear where the Brazilian forward will end up.
The 21-year-old has hinted in the past that Barcelona would be his preferred destination but with the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG all after his signature it is difficult to tell if he will link up with Leo Messi at Barca.
But although Rosell admits that Neymar is a player of interest, he is tight lipped on knowing whether a deal can be done to bring the young Brazilian to the Nou Camp before the expiration of this contract.
"Barcelona are always looking for the best players," he told SIC Noticas.
"Besides home-grown players, we look for the best players from outside (Barcelona) that can improve the squad.
"As for Neymar, I don't know when he'll come. He is a Santos player until 2014.
"Neymar, like any other players that are interesting Barcelona scouts, might join the team eventually."
