Video: Arsenal defender makes X-rated lunge on Ronaldinho

Published 33 Comments

Brazil star Ronaldinho’s dribbling skill mean he is probably used to a dirty tackle or two but this latest x-rated challenge was on another level.

The former Barcelona and AC Milan star was playing in the Copa Libertadores for his current club Atletico Mineiro against Arsenal de Sarandi of Argentina.

Ronaldinho had already assisted in a couple of the goals to send his side 5-2 up with a little time to go when the ball fell to him on the edge of the area.

Arsenal defender Diego Braghieri then decided to lunge in with one of the most despicable two-footed challenge you are ever likely to see.

Luckily for Ronaldinho his leg was not planted and was able to pull it back a touch or the tackle could well have snapped his leg in half.

Braghieri gave away the penalty but, unbelievably, wasn’t even shown a yellow card.

Things got even worse for Ronaldinho as he crashed the resultant spot-kick against the crossbar and over.

Watch the incident above.
