Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has heaped praise upon his team-mate Jack Wilshere, labelling him a 'complete player' and insisting that he has a 'spectacular' future ahead of him.
The English midfielder has made a sensational return from his long-term injury lay-off that kept him out of action for well over a season. Continuos ankle and leg injuries had kept Wilshere out for longer than expected, but he seems to have finally got over his problems and has retuned better than ever.
Summer signing Santi Cazorla has been very impressed with how Wilshere has returned from his injury problems and is shocked at how well he has established himself back into the first-team. The two combined, along with January signing Nacho Monreal, for Arsenal's match-winning goal against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon last weekend. Arsenal beat Villa 2-1 to end a run of back-to-back home defeats.
The Spaniard then went on to talk about Wilshere's future, insisting that he could become one of the greatest and that he has a spectacular future ahead of him.
“He adds something extra and I’m gradually getting to know his style of play better,” the Spaniard told Arsenal Player. “His way of playing complements my own; in fact, we play in similar positions and that makes it easier for us to establish a greater understanding every day.
“As I’ve said, he adds that little bit more that we need in many of our games. His return from injury was a great plus for the club and we all hope he can maintain the level he’s at because he’s very good.
“I didn’t know much about him when I came to the club because he hasn’t been around for very long. He surprised me because he is such a complete footballer.
“He’s young and has a spectacular future ahead of him and he’s also got a lot of room to mature and develop. I have no doubt that he’s going to be even more important here in the future.”
