Andrea Pirlo has openly admitted that Juventus aren't strong enough to lift this year’s Champions League.
The midfield maestro believes both Manchester United and Real Madrid would be too strong for the Italian giants at this present time.
The veteran's side are likely to be in the draw for the quarter-final's of the competition as they hold a 3-0 advantage over Scottish club Celtic going into the second leg at the Juventus Stadium.
However, despite being one of the favourites for the competition, Pirlo has insisted that Juventus don't have the quality to beat United or to win the prestigious trophy.
The 33-year-old said: "We're not ready to win the Champions League, even if we are still in there giving it a go. There are sides in the competition a lot stronger than us."
"Real Madrid and Manchester United? They are strong, stronger than us.
"They have champions all over the place, while we don’t. This is just the beginning for us."
Despite leading the way in Serie A this season, it seems as if Pirlo believes the best is yet to come from his side. He has made 25 league appearances this season, scoring five goals.
If Juventus are to finish off Celtic in their round of 16 clash, then it seems Pirlo will be hoping to avoid the victors of the United and Madrid match. The game is currently poised at 1-1, with the return leg due to take place at Old Trafford next week. The winners will believe they can go on to claim the Uefa Champions League trophy this season.
