Bayern Munich taking over Barcelona

Bayern's Stars are taking over
Bayern's Stars are taking over.

The Bundesliga hasn't really dominated the headlines over recent years.

Many people believe the top players reside in La Liga, Serie A, and the Premier League. There is no star power people say. However, that is changing wether you like it or not.

The Bundesliga is slowly raising its reputation and a couple years back it stole one of Serie A's Champions League spots.

Bayern Munich have quietly been dominating and are on course for the treble. They have not had much success in winning the Champions League of late, but have been to two Champions League finals in three years. That is quite a feat, yet not talked about. Is it just ignorance that no-one knows what is happening?

Bayern have a young core complimented by a strong veteran cast of Philip Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Arjen Robben, and Franck Ribery. Bayern are storming Europe and many of us do not even know it. We are so focused on Barcelona that we do not see what is being created in Germany.

Credit goes to the management at Bayern who have been very cautious with their spending and only spend after much research.

That is shown in purchases of Javier Martinez who has cemented himself in the squad alongside Manuel Neur who is considered one of the top young keepers around.

Not only that, but they are getting a coach next season in Pep Guardiola who is credited with revolutionising Barcelona.

Could that happen at Bayern? It seems Bayern's management has created a long term plan that is going to pay dividends sooner rather than later, and it could be this season.

Move over Barcelona, Bayern seems to be creating something special.
