Tottenham Hotspur are locked in a four-way battle with AC Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain to clinch the signing of highly-rated Sochaux defender Sebastien Corchia, reports talkSPORT.

The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in Ligue 1 at the moment, and has attracted attention from a host of top European clubs.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also believed to be monitoring Corchia's situation, and could also provide competition for the player's signature this summer.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has been strongly linked with a bid to bring the France U21 international to White Hart Lane, as he looks to strengthen a squad that wants to be playing in the Champions League next season.

Kyle Walker is currently Tottenham's first choice right-back, with Kyle Naughton in reserve. However, the Portuguese tactician might still look to increase competition for first-team places by luring Corchia to north London.

Rated at around £8million, it will take a significant transfer fee to entice the Sochaux star to the Premier League, and that's before even considering the bidding war that is likely to take place when the transfer window reopens in July.
