Birmingham take on Blackpool at St Andrew's on Tuesday evening in a bid to recover from the disastrous result at the KC Stadium versus Hull at the weekend.

Manager Lee Clark will be looking for a quick recovery, after Blues went 5-0 down against an under strength Hull side, who were missing the likes of Sone Aluko on Saturday. Blues will be looking for a better start after the weekend's result, in which Blues found themselves 1-0 down after 40 seconds.

Bad news

Birmingham's week did not start much better than last week's ended, after they were hit with the news that Marlon King will be out for the rest of the season. It is a bitter blow for Blues, with King providing the bulk of the goals last season.

However, available for selection again will be Nathan Redmond, Shane Ferguson, Morgaro Gomis and Ravel Morrison. There has been further positive news for Clark this week, with Darren Ambrose and Keith Fahey both completing Monday's under 21 game against Crewe at Wast Hills. Both players are expected to be available for selection in the coming weeks.

Blackpool come to St Andrew's looking for their first win in five games, having been held to two consecutive goalless draws at home.

Paul Ince has no new injury worries, and former Blues loanee Matt Derbyshire could feature upfront for the Seasiders, whilst Nathan Delfounso could also make an appearance.

Previous result

Tuesday's game is a repeat of last season's play off semi final, where Birmingham lost 3-2 on aggregate, after coming back from 3-0 down to grab two late goals. But it was not enough, and Blues will be looking for revenge, and to pull away from the relegation zone.
