Napoli have joined Liverpool among the growing pack of clubs chasing Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez, reports talkSPORT.

The Chilean international has been forced to endure a frustrating season at Camp Nou, having struggled to nail down a regular first-team place in Tito Vilanova's side.

Sanchez signed for the Catalan giants from Udinese in a £23million deal in 2011, but has failed to set the world alight during the past 18 months at Barca.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to offer Sanchez an exit route, by adding him to his Anfield squad, and hopes the offer of regular Premier League football will be enough to entice him to England.

However, Liverpool will face competition for the 24-year-old's signature, with Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli both keen on securing his services.

Sanchez remains under contract at Barcelona until 2016, but having made just nine appearances and scored one goal this season, his future might be better served away from Spain.

The South American remains highly rated in Italy, but even those clubs will be reluctant to pay Barcelona what they want to activate Sanchez's sale, with the Spanish giants looking to reclaim a large portion of what they paid for the frustrated forward almost two years ago.
