With 10 games remaining in this exciting Premier League season, who expected to see Aston Villa in the bottom three?

The next three games against Reading (away), QPR (home) and then Liverpool (home) will determine whether Paul Lambert can keep his team in the league.  The Scottish manager has a lot of expectation on his shoulders after guiding his former club Norwich City to back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premiership.

Reading will be looking for a win against Paul Lambert's side while relying on other results in hope that they can start a run of wins to climb out of the relegation zone.

Having already lost 14 games so far this campaign Aston Villa need a win against Reading this coming Saturday and it could be the turning point they desperately need.

Speaking on club website, Matthew Lowton, who has been a force for his team this season, spoke about how important the next two games are.Aston Villa's

"He hails the endeavour and effort the team have shown in recent weeks and also delivers his backing for Ciaran Clark after his error against Manchester City."

And Aston Villa legend and AVTV pundit Tony Morley gave his thoughts on the relegation battle.

" the claret and bluesMorley says will miss suspended midfielder Fabian Delph over the next two games but insists it is a great opportunity for somebody else to shine."

With his team in good spirit in spite of being in the relegation zone, the game against Arsenal away clearly shows that they have the potential to beat the drop.
