Manchester City defensive coach Angelo Gregucci has confirmed that the club are keeping tabs on Stevan Jovetic and Domenico Berardi.
The duo are earning rave reviews in Italy, with Jovetic leading the line for Fiorentina and notching 11 goals in 23 appearances for the Serie ‘A’ side this season.
Berardi, meanwhile, has been the star attraction for Sassuolo in Serie ‘B’, with Sky Sports claiming Manchester United, Liverpool and Southampton are also tracking the 19-year-old.
However, it’s Manchester City who have now confirmed their interested in the duo, as Roberto Mancini looks to make changes to his squad at the end of the season.
"It seems clear to me that not only the City but many clubs like Jovetic, because he is one of the most talented players on the European scene,” Gregucci told Radio Toscana.
"Berardi? He has good qualities. He's young, we must see how he will grow. Manchester City is always attentive to young world talents and he is among them."
Mancini isn’t short of attacking options at the Etihad Stadium, with Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko all fighting for first-team opportunities.
However, the exit of Mario Balotelli in January, coupled with speculation over the future of Dzeko, suggests there is room for manoeuvre if Manchester City want to add in the striking department in the summer.
