Big-spending Paris St Germain are desperate to install Arsene Wenger as manager and have not given up hope on convincing him to leave Arsenal.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners boss is in regular contact with representatives of the Ligue 1 club’s owners through his punditry work for Al-Jazeera television.
Wenger has faced unprecedented pressure surrounding his position this season with many fans of the Emirates Stadium club calling for him to go.
Arsenal have the worst points tally at this point in any of the seasons since Wenger took over and trail the Premier League top four by five points.
The report claims PSG are ready to axe current boss Carlo Ancelotti after some negative performances in recent weeks saw their lead at the top of Ligue 1 cut to two points.
It also says they are keen to install a French manager to take the club forward.
Despite a difficult campaign that has seen their status as a Champions League club threatened more greatly than ever, the Arsenal board reportedly have no desire to see Wenger leave at the end of the season.
His current contract at Emirates Stadium runs until the summer of 2014 and a major bid from PSG could persuade him to walk away from Arsenal once it expires.
