Everything is going well for Andre villas-Boas's Tottenham at the moment, unbeaten in 12 Premier League games, and still flying high in the Europa League.
Even the squad rotation, of goal-keepers (Hugo Lloris in league games, Brad Friedel in cup games) and the changing centre backs (Michael Dawson, William Gallas, Younes Kaboul, Steven Caulker and Jan Vertonghen) has not had a noticeable effect on Spurs' progress.
After 28 games, Tottenham lie in third position in the Premier League. They currently have 54 points, only five points short of Manchester City in second place, and are two points ahead of Chelsea in fourth place.
This season promises to have a mammoth challenge for 3rd and 4th places at the end of the season, for those illustrious Champions League qualification places. With Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and possibly Everton and Liverpool pushing to land those places, the end of the season could be quite tense.
If Spurs can continue in this form, even with some tricky ties still to play, then it is hard to see them not pushing for third place and leaving those below to fight it out amongst themselves for the remaining place.
The north London outfit's focus on the pitch is unwavering, even when going behind in games. They are not the Spurs of old that would crumble whenever a team began to fight back. Now however, they remain firm and start to build again. This shows the confidence resounding around this Spurs side, a side whose manager celebrates every goal like a Champions League winning goal.
In the English Premier League, you must expect the unexpected.
