In the second and final part of my top 20 Premier League goals feature, find out which memorable strikes made it into the top 10.

10. Robin van Persie v Charlton

A cross from Emmanuel Eboué looked to be too far in front of Van Persie, but the Dutchman propelled himself into the air to pile drive the ball into the back of the net in spectacular fashion.

9. Dennis Bergkamp v Newcastle

One of the most graceful goals of all time. After a sweeping Arsenal counter-attack, Robert Pirès picked out Bergkamp, who turned his defender beautifully with delicate touch and the side-footed the ball home.

8. Matt Le Tissier v Newcastle

A team-mate headed the ball behind Le Tissier who, while 40 yards out, flicked the ball forward and stabbed it past a defender. As he reached the 18-yard box, he dinked the ball over another defender, and then advanced to beat the onrushing goalkeeper with a calm finish.

7. Cristiano Ronaldo v Portsmouth

A stunning free-kick from the Portugal captain is next on our list. Picture the scene: the ball is 25-yards out, Ronaldo runs up and smashes the ball into the top corner with David James left motionless and in disbelief.

6. Papiss Cissé v Chelsea

In a game vital to Newcastle’s season a sensational strike from Cissé helped the Toon to a victory at Stamford Bridge. On the half-volley, Cissé lashed the ball with the outside of his foot, and with incredible swerve the ball dipped over Cech high into the goal.

5. Luis Suarez v Norwich City

To seal his hat-trick Suarez scored this glorious goal from more than 40 yards out. After he beat a defender to the ball, he ran forward, before steadying himself and effortlessly lobbing the ball over John Ruddy and into the net.

4. Maynor Figueroa v Stoke City

As a free-kick was given inside Wigan’s half, many of the Latics' player were probably hoping for a breather, but instead Figueroa made the outrageous attempt at scoring from inside his own half. The control and power with which he stuck the ball makes this an unbelievably good goal.

3. Paolo Di Canio v Wimbledon

A decent cross was whipped in towards Di Canio but what happened next was almost incomprehensibly majestic. He leaped into the air and scissor-kicked the ball with venom into the corner.

2. David Beckham v Wimbledon

When the ball broke to Beckham just inside his own half he only had one thing in his mind: with the goalkeeper out, the England winger launched the ball high over the keeper and high into the goal. A strike of sensational vision and execution.

1. Wayne Rooney v Manchester City

The winner of the best ever Premier League goal, Wayne Rooney’s acrobatic strike in the dying stages of a Manchester derby to win the game was hard to look past. A cross from Nani deflected off Zabaleta and looked to be too far behind Rooney for anything to materialise. However, Rooney leapt high into the air and speculatively swung his right foot. The result was the ball flying into the top corner to cue the wild celebrations.
