All the recent speculation in Premier League football revolves around Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale after a scintillating run of form which has seen him net 21 goals in all competitions this season.
It is clearly going to take a lot of money to prize the Welshman away from White Hart Lane with the asking price suspected to be around £70m. The question of whether he should stay or leave the club will inevitably have to be answered this summer as he is certain to attract attention from the word’s best clubs
However, former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp believes Bale has already made up his mind and will stay on at Tottenham for a while yet, helping the North-London club to become a regular in the Champions League.
He told The Sun: "I'm absolutely sure Spurs is the best club for him and that he will stay. He loves life at Spurs and with the club looking at another Champions League campaign next term why would he leave? I don't think it will happen."
After seeing Luka Modric leave to go to Real Madrid in the summer and struggle to maintain a place in the starting eleven, it shows what a big step it is and one Bale will need to consider carefully if Jose Mourinho comes calling.
At the moment he is undoubtedly the Barclays Premier League’s in-form player and he is showing no signs that he has reached his peak. He is only 23-years-old so another couple of seasons at Tottenham will surely do him no harm and create the unnecessary risk of moving clubs.
However, the chance to play for Europe's elite clubs such as Real Madrid or Barcelona may be too tempting to turn down not just for Bale but, if the money is right, for Tottenham too.
