Mario Balotelli notched another goal for AC Milan as they followed up their surprise win over Barcalona with a 0-2 away triumph against Genoa on Friday. Giampaolo Pazzini also got on the scoresheet for the away side.

They remain 11 points adrift at the top of Serie 'A' however, as Juventus prevailed over a resilient Catania side in Turin on Sunday.

Emanuele Giaccherini scored the only goal of the game as the bianconeri stretched their lead to nine points at the top of Serie 'A', with second-placed Napoli failing to get any points at Chievo. Boukary Drame and Cyril Thereau scored in a surprise 2-0 home win.

After their thrashing at White Hart Lane last week, Inter Milan's misery continued at the weekend, losing 0-1 to Bologna at the San Siro on Sunday. The goal came from Alberto Gilardino in the 57th minute.

It was honours even in the only Saturday match between Udinese and Roma at the Stadio Friuli. Erik Lamela fired the away side in-front before half-time, only for Luis Muriel to equalise in the 62nd minute.

Another Sunday result saw Parma thump Turin 4-1 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, where Italian forward Amauri bagged a treble. Nicola Sansone also notched for the home side and Turin's only goal came from Mario Santana.

Fiorentina earned a 0-2 away win at Lazio with goals from Stevan Jovetic and Adem Ljajic.

Cagliari forward Victor Ibarbo fired a hat-trick, helping them to a comfortable 3-1 home win over Sampdoria.  Maxi Lopez got the visitors only goal from the spot.

German Deni notched a brace to give Atalanta a 2-1 home victory over Pescara. Gaetano D'Agostino scored for the visitors.

Siena travelled to Palermo where they came from a goal down to win 2-1.  Anselmo opened the scoring for the home side before Innocent Emeghara and Alessandro Rosina secured the win for the visitors.
