Mikel Arteta has urged the Arsenal board to invest this summer in order to arrest the club's apparent demise.

Arsenal are in danger of finishing outside the top four for the first time in Arsene Wenger's reign, and Arteta says the squad must be improved for next season.

Former Tottenham player and coach Clive Allen has pleaded with the club to do all they can to keep hold of Gareth Bale.

Bale has been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid, but Allen hopes Spurs are able to retain his services for another two or three years.

David Platt has praised the mental toughness of Carlos Tevez, and does not expect off-field dramas will affect the Manchester City striker's performances.

Tevez was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified last week, but responded with a hat-trick in the weekend defeat of Barnsley.

Nedved says Ibrahimovic would improve any team in the world, and hopes to see the Swede return to Juve in the future.
