Andre Villas-Boas is keen to move on from defeat against Liverpool on Sunday, and has his sights on guiding Tottenham to a Europa League quarter final place at the expense of Inter Milan on Thursday.
Spurs suffered their first defeat in 13 games on Sunday at Anfield, going down 3-2 after two defensive howlers handed Liverpool the advantage.
However the north London club have the chance to get back to winning ways on Thursday when they travel to the San Siro to take on Inter Milan in the second leg of their last-16 tie.
Spurs secured a 3-0 advantage from the 1st leg thanks to goals from Jan Vertonghen, Gareth Bale and Gylfi Sigurdsson and will progress to the next stage barring a disaster.
Villas-Boas has called on his team to move on from the disappointment of Sunday by recording a win against Inter Milan on Thursday, and then going on to beat Fulham on their return to Premier League action at the weekend.
“We made a couple of mistakes which we don’t normally do,” said Villas-Boas.
“There are no perfect games for everyone but I think we just have to use it as an example towards the future. It was a sign of our character, even if it was not our day.
“We will reflect on it and move forward.
“We have a wonderful opportunity to continue in the Europa League and then we will focus back again on Fulham.
“Our rewards can be with the Europa League trophy and Champions League qualification – that is our main ambition."
