7. Kolo Toure - Manchester City

Kolo Toure joined Manchester City on a four-year contract back in 2009 from Arsenal for a fee of £15million

The new skipper led by example in his first campaign, returning from his mid-season stint in the African Cup of Nations to reclaim his place and marshall City's defence.

Toure has expressed his desire to sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, stating: "I like it in England. I have been here for all of my career and it’s great to play in England. I really enjoy it. That is why I brought my brother [Yaya] here!

"There are challenges coming and there are changes in life, and I will deal with that if it happened. I wish to stay, but you never know."

With so many talented individuals in the Citizen’s defence, it will be hard for the Ivorian to get a new contract, and should he leave, he can easily be replaced.
