Newcastle United face Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala in the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie tonight.
Alan Pardew’s side are well positioned to qualify after a 0-0 draw in Russia, but will need to be on their guard against a side posing multiple threats going forward.
That means keeper Rob Elliot will need to be in top form, with the former Charlton star continuing between the sticks in the absence of Tim Krul.
In defence, Fabricio Collocini misses out with a broken back, meaning Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa should take his place at the heart of defence.
Yohan Cabaye has been in top form of late and is likely to partner Cheick Tiote in midfield, with Moussa Sissoko just in-front of the duo.
Jonas Gutierrez will provide the width on the right, with Sylvain Marveaux the option for Newcastle United on the left.
Up-front, Papiss Demba Cisse will lead the line, with Shola Ameobi facing a late fitness test in his efforts to make the bench.
Newcastle United predicted line-up v Anzhi Makhachkala:
Rob Elliot; Danny Simpson, Steven Taylor, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Davide Santon; Cheik Tiote, Yohan Cabaye; Jonas Gutierrez, Moussa Sissoko, Sylvain Marveaux; Papiss Demba Cisse.
