Arsenal midfielder, Santi Cazorla has hailed his Spanish compatriot and Swansea forward, Michu, as an 'incredible footballer'.
The Gunners travel to Wales on Saturday to face Swansea in a must-win Premier League tie and Michu has a great history against Arsenal already this season, scoring three against them. Two coming at the Emirates in the league and one at the Liberty in the FA cup.
Michu has been the signing of the season in many pundits eyes after he has scored 15 league goals since joining for a fee of just £2million in the summer and he has also helped Swansea win their first ever domestic cup as he scored during the club's 5-0 victory over Bradford City in the Capital One Cup.
Cazorla, who has been sensational for Arsenal since joining in the summer, grew up with Michu back in Spain as they were both part of Real Oviedo's youth system and they have both recently brought shares in the club to ensure it survives.
The Arsenal midfielder has said he is very happy to see his 'friend' do so well in the Premier League and knows he will be a threat come Saturday.
Cazorla said: “We played together in the youth teams at Oviedo, we are great friends and I know him well.
“I'm sure we'll be texting each other between now and the game.
“A lot of people were surprised at his impact [in England] but I wasn't, absolutely not. I think he's an incredible footballer and also one that's only improving.
“Every day he has more potential. I'm very happy for him because we're such good friends and, above all, because he's playing so well in a team like Swansea.”
