With the end of the Premier League season fast approaching, we take a look at the key players to save their clubs from relegation.
QPR - Key man - Loic Remy
QPR boss Harry Redknapp pulled off a massive coup when he signed Loic Remy from under the noses of Newcastle. The french international has had some injury problems since he joined the club, but keeping him fit will be vital to QPR's survival.
Reading - Key man - Adam Le Fondre
January Premier League Player of the Month winner Adam Le Fondre has scored 10 League goals this season and if Reading are to stay up, he will need to be at his best, his goals have been crucial so far this season.
Aston Villa - Key man - Christian Benteke
Benteke joined Villa for £7 million in the summer and he has proved to be worth every penny, repaying the club back with goals.12 league goals this season has been vital to Villa this season, especially due to the lack of appearances and form of Darren Bent. Aston Villa will do well to keep him in the summer, but they they'll be hoping he keeps them in the Premier League at the very least.
Southampton - Key man - Rickie Lambert
Southampton captain Rickie Lambert has been a sensation this season in the Premier League. Not only has he scored and assisted goals but his overall play is excellent. Lambert is desperate to get into the England squad, and keeping Southampton in the Premier League will do his chances no harm.
Wigan - Key man - James McCarthy
Pass master James McCarthy really makes Wigan tick. He controls games, dictates the play and creates the chances for the side. He's the key man in the team and if Wigan are going to beat the drop once again this year, Manager Roberto Martinez will be relying on the Irishman to perform to the best of his abilities.
