Chelsea are interested in landing Fiorentina striker Jackson Beckham Diego Socrates da Silva de Jesus, according to the Daily Star.
The 18-year-old, who was named by his father in homage to a string of his favourite players, has made an impression with Fiorentina this season, and has reportedly attracted the interest of a host of leading clubs.
The Star claim that Chelsea are keen on landing the talented youngster in the summer, but may face competition from some Premier League rivals.
The paper report that West Ham are also monitoring the young striker, but would struggle to get their man if Chelsea firm up their interest.
"My dad wanted to honour the players he enjoyed watching and he was a big fan of Maradona and Socrates," the youngster said of his lengthy name.
"I try to absorb the best of all of them into my game," said the 18-year-old.
News of both club's interest comes after the Blues secured a 2-0 win over their London rivals at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
Goals from Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard helped Chelsea move up to 3rd in the Premier League, above rivals Tottenham who stumbled to a 1-0 defeat against Fulham.
Lampard's opened against his former club yesterday was his 200th for Chelsea, leaving him just two goals short of equalling the club's all-time scoring record.
