Arsenal forward Theo Walcott insists the team have finally found their voice and believes they are communicating a lot better as a team when they are on the field.

The England international hailed his side's character and performance against Bayern Munich on Wednesday and admitted that the team were talking between each other a lot better and with far more efficiency.

The Gunners' impressive 2-0 away win at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night in the Champions League was then followed by another impressive 2-0 away win in the Premier League away against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

In the past, Arsenal have been criticised and accused of lacking leaders on the pitch, but Walcott insists the side are communicating better as a unit and believes that the team does not lack leaders - as the midweek victory over Bayern Munich proves.

“We had a lot of leaders out there telling people what to do, there was a bit more communication than there has been previously,” the 24-year-old told Arsenal.com. “We care, we wanted to prove to everyone that we want to win and the desire and commitment was there.

“We have definitely been too quiet in the past, we have been afraid to tell each other what to do at times but we did that [against Bayern]. It is not about having a go at each other, it is speaking out when it is needed.”

Arsenal will now focus on the race for a top-four finish and, after beating Swansea and watching Tottenham Hotspur slip-up at home to Fulham, they will certainly believe that the feat is achievable.
