Rio Ferdinand was a guest of Harry Styles and at two One Direction concerts last weekend while, on Saturday, the teenage heartthrob also visited Old Trafford courtesy of the Manchester United defender.
Ferdinand and Styles appear to have struck up a somewhat unlikely friendship, with the duo also enjoying dinner at the restaurant of the Manchester United No.5 the second One Direction gig on consecutive nights at the MEN Arena.
Having been to see 1D on Friday night, Ferdinand returned the favour for Styles who watched Manchester United narrowly beat Reading at Old Trafford thanks to a goal from Wayne Rooney.
Celebrating Manchester United's latest step towards the Premier League title, Ferdinand was back at the MEN again on Saturday to see Styles - and bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik - perform to thousands of screaming fans.
Ferdinand posted on his official Facebook page: "Went to the One Direction concert on Saturday night! Never heard so much screaming!! Great to witness success live like that!"
Styles showed his affection for both Ferdinand and Manchester United during the second show in the city, taking to the stage wearing the shirt of his Old Trafford hero.
