Manchester United target Kevin Strootman has told all his suitors to show him some concrete interest if they want to sign him.

The PSV Eindhoven midfielder is one of the players Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been eyeing for a summer move, according to a talkSPORT report.

Strootman is only 23 years old but has already been named PSV captain and has become a regular in the Holland squad.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to offload a number of midfielders once the transfer window reopens as Ferguson sets about overhauling his squad.

It is understandable then that the Red Devils would hold an interest in Strootman.

The former Utrecht man is a powerful, driving midfielder but has the flexibility to play in more than one position and with a defensive or attacking mindset.

Strootman says he is aware of teams such as Manchester United being interested in him but has urged them to make a formal approach if they are keen on signing him.

“Every transfer window there are clubs that are interested, but a club must speak to me,” he said in a recent interview with AD.

Were Manchester United to sign Strootman, he would join fellow Dutchmen Robin van Persie and Alex Buttner.
