Manchester United are set to reignite their interest in Porto starlet James Rodriguez, and are willing to offer Anderson as part of the deal.
The 24-year-old, who was linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer, has been on United's radar for some time.
The Mail report that the talented youngster's release clause has been upped to £36 million since last year - a figure Manchester United are unwilling to meet.
It appears as though the Brazilian would be open to a return to the Estadio do Dragao too, admitting a return to Porto is tempting.
'Porto are the one club I would consider moving back to Portugal for," he said.
'My past is there. It is where I put down my roots in Portuguese football.'
Another who could be used as part exchange for Rodriguez is Nani, who according to reports is still holding off signing a new deal and is set for a summer departure from Old Trafford.
