Manchester United’s striker Javier Hernandez is rumoured to be a summer transfer target of Juventus according to the Daily Mail.

With Spaniard Fernando Llorente already signing in the summer from Athletic Bilbao, the Italian giants Juventus are turning their attention towards a partner for the Spaniard.

Having been linked with a move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, it seems they are now looking at other alternatives should they fail in an approach for the Anfield star.

Suarez recently said in an interview in Uruguay: "If another team comes around with more prospects of competing in international club competition games, which is willing to have me, they are welcome,” as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

A club like Juventus would certainly fit the bill but the Italian outfit may have been put off of an approach after managing director Ian Ayre told BBC Radio Five Live that the club had “no desire to sell Luis.”

Hernandez is now being muted as a possible alternative.

Being in such good form when called upon this season for United, it is little wonder that the Old Lady of Turin see Hernandez as a fitting partner for Bilbao striker Llorente.

Hernandez has had a fine season with Manchester United seeing his fair share of goals despite appearing mainly from the substitutes bench.

The Mexican has averaged a goal every 85 minutes for the Red Devils helping his club to a 15-point lead over rivals Manchester City. The chance of regular first-team football could be enough to persuade “Little-Pea” to move elsewhere, with Atletico Madrid also being linked

With Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney ahead of the Mexican in the pecking order, his chances have been limited this season and that has added to the speculation regarding a move.

Despite few apperances, he has been a huge hit since his arrival from Mexico in 2010, and despite some baron spells in front of goal, he has bounced back and chipped in with an effective contribution - being compared to the former 'super-sub' at Old Trafford, Ole Gunner Solskjaer.

At 24-years-old, Hernandez would undoubtedly seek a regular playing spot.  If he can’t get it at Old Trafford, then he would not be short of suitors around Europe.  Getting Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United to part with their 'little pea' however will be a big problem as he is so highly rated and will command a large transfer fee.
