Manchester United have renewed their interest in Belgium midfielder Steven Defour after sending scouts to watch him last week.
According to A Bola, the Old Trafford club were impressed with what they saw and could be tempted into making a move for the 24-year-old in the summer.
Manchester United were linked with a move for Defour a few seasons ago when he was playing for his old side Standard Liege.
Defour broke his foot in 2009 and revealed Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson sent him a letter of encouragement and indicated he would be keeping an eye on his progress.
However, the move did not materialise and the Belgium international failed to quite reach the heights he was hitting before the injury.
Porto were the next team to show any interest and completed the deal to take him to the Estádio do Dragão in 2011.
Defour has this season begun to show some of his best form again, so Manchester United renewing their interest would be understandable.
Should Defour make the switch to Old Trafford he will join a number of his international colleagues in the Premier League, though would be the only Belgian at Manchester United.
