West Brom manager Tony Mowbray has insisted skipper Curtis Davies has the right temperament to cope with the constant speculation about his future.
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder is the latest Barclays Premiership manager to express an interest in Davies, claiming he is "one of our January targets". But Mowbray has made it clear he wants to keep Davies who has hinted himself he would be happy to remain at the Baggies if they gain promotion back to the Premiership.
The West Brom boss told PA Sport: "I am delighted that Curtis has not been affected by speculation and that he can still produce good displays - like the one against Leeds on Saturday. "
