Michael Owen - England 2-2 Argentina (3-4 pens), 1998

Football News

England exacted revenge of sorts on Argentina 12 years later when Michael Owen, aged just 18 at the time, scored what was to be remembered as the most iconic goal of his distinguished career.

The encounter ended 2-2 after extra time, with Javier Zanetti scoring the leveller for Argentina, before they went on to triumph in a penalty shootout.
