Arsenal have been handed an injury worry ahead of their crucial Premier League run as Theo Walcott was sent home from England duty.
The Gunners winger picked up a groin injury during Three Lions training ahead of the clash with San Marino on Friday night and is expected to miss Montenegro game next week.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be worried by the news as Walcott has been an integral part of the Emirates Stadium squad this season.
Walcott was expected to start for England against San Marino but that leaves a chance open for his club teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to get into the first XI.
Arsenal need to go on an impressive run of form if they are to finish in the Premier League’s top four and qualify for the Champions League.
Walcott will be crucial if Wenger’s side are to make up the four points on rivals Tottenham Hotspur ahead of them in fourth, though they do have a game in hand.
The Gunners face struggling Reading at Emirates Stadium on Saturday March 30 in their next Premier League fixture.
