Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic says it would be a 'pleasure' to work with Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, should the Portuguese leave Real Madrid and return to his former club as manager.
Mourinho is the favourite to become the next Chelsea boss when Rafael Benitez's interim tenure expires at the end of the season, with reports suggesting the former will leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
The 50-year-old has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid all season, with the latest reports claiming Mourinho has already agreed to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.
Chelsea would appear to be the most likely destination for Mourinho, who has always maintained a desire to come back to the Premier League, although Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the former Inter Milan coach.
Ivanovic, meanwhile, would relish the opportunity to play under Mourinho having not had the chance to do so before, and says the former Blues boss is exactly the calibre of manager the club should be pursuing.
"I think, for a top club, for a big club like Chelsea, we need the best from the players and from the manager and maybe one day it will be a pleasure to work with him," the 29-year-old told Sky Sports.
"We'll see. You never know and it's not time for us to speak.
"He was a success and for him personally he's said that Chelsea is his home and that he loved the club. This is something positive and with that atmosphere you can have good, positive things for the club."
