Arsenal have had and still have some extremely talented foreign imports at the club.
Players such as Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Santi Cazorla have all been great assets to the north London outfit, but currently it's the young crop of English stars that have the Gunners faithful excited.
Jenkinson has proved to be a great signing for Arsenal since joining from Charlton, he has performed admirably whenever he has played and the fact he is a diehard gooner and would run through brick walls for the red and white makes him in my opinion a fan favourite.
I personally would not be too upset if Bacary Sagna left this summer, although he has been a great player for us he is probably past his best and I feel Jenkinson could be ready to take over.
Since the departure of Gael Clichy to Manchester City, Kieran Gibbs has made the left-back spot his own, Arsenal have a good record of bringing through good left backs, from the aforementioned Clichy to Ashley Cole.
Gibbs has been at the club since 2004 and has been brought up playing the ‘Arsenal way’ and he along with others was originally a winger who was put back into the left back position over the years.
This season he has been in great form and if he sorts out his injury issues and continues to challenge Nacho Monreal for the left back spot he could become an outstanding performer for the club for years to come, for me he is often an un-sung hero.
Since joining the club from Southampton last season he has become another fan favourite due to his dazzling runs and great dribbling ability, Arsene Wenger has used him on the left-wing but eventually sees his place in midfield as he also has an eye for a pass and is great at long shots.
His first season with the club led to a full England call-up and hope he could be the future of the English game, even drawing comparisons with Wayne Rooney.
He has been on the scene for what seems like forever but he is still only 24 and is just entering his prime, nothing needs to be said about his blistering pace but this season he has really added what many fans wanted to his game.
He has become more clinical in front of goal and has also greatly improved his crossing. He's had a great season for both goals and assists. If he continues with this form he will be a major asset to Arsenal for the future.
What can I say about this guy that hasn’t already been said, he is the driving force of Arsenal, he embodies what it is to be a gunner and puts his heart and soul into every match. For sure a future captain of club and country, if he can stay on top of injuries could well become one of the best players on the planet.
Overall these players are yet to reach their career peaks and are on long-term contracts, if they continue the way they all currently are they could all realistically become future Arsenal legends.
