Barcelona have a deal in place to bring Brazil superstar Neymar to the Nou Camp, according to reports in Spain sourced by the Daily Mirror.

An investigation undertaken by Spanish newspaper Sport claims to have uncovered the secret agreement between Santos and Barcelona, and alleges that the deal has been in place since November 2011.

The report claims Barcelona shelled out €10m to secure the first-option on the player when he moves to Europe, with another €35m due on completion of the transfer - taking the total value of the agreement up to €45m.

But, should Barcelona back out of the deal, they'd have to pay a indemnity clause of €80m, according to the report.

Barcelona have emerged as the front-runner to sign the highly-rated 21-year-old in recent months, as clubs like Manchester City have fallen by the wayside.

Only a few select teams in the world could afford to sign the superstar forward, including Manchester City, but speculation has continued to mount in recent weeks that Barcelona will be his eventual destination.

Barca president Sandro Rosell earlier this week hinted at a future move for the Santos star, admitting he'd love to be the man to bring Neymar to the Nou Camp.

"As a fan, it is clear, he is a different player," said Rosell. "A type like Romario, Ronaldinho, Maradona, Messi.

"In other clubs they might not like him so much, but Neymar plays with a style that pleases the Barca fans."

Barcelona and Brazil right-back Dani Alves has long championed a move for his international colleague, and he thinks Brazil has now become "too small for Neymar", urging him to make the switch to Europe sooner rather than later.

The Brazilian forward had a forgettable night at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening, as Luiz Felipe Scolari's side scraped a 1-1 draw in a friendly match against Russia.
