The 15-year-old England youth international - already dubbed the new Jack Wilshere - has been earning rave reviews at Villa Park this season, after a series of scintillating performances for the Premier League club's development side, and has attracted attention from a number of rival suitors.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been credited with an interest in bringing Crowley to the Emirates Stadium, as he looks to snap up another promising young talent, with a view to nurturing the player and helping to bring him through to the first-team.
However, Arsenal will face competition from the reigning Premier League champions, as Roberto Mancini also considers an attempt to lure the player to the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City will fancy their chances of tempting the academy star up north, where one of Crowley's old Aston Villa mentors is now part of the recruitment staff.
Villa chiefs will hope to tie the talented teenager down to a permanent contract when he's old enough to do so, in the hope to ward off unwanted enquiries from Arsenal and Manchester City.
But, failure to do so could result in the Midlands club losing Crowley for next to nothing, with a small compensation fee all that they'll get for overseeing his development.
