He only joined the club in January, but Daniel Sturridge looks set to be a success story at Liverpool.

The young England striker appears to be the answer to the Reds' striking problems.

Signed from Chelsea during the January transfer window, Sturridge was the first signing Brendan Rodgers made as he felt he needed to alleviate the pressure on top scorer Luis Suarez.

The striker was really never given a proper chance to become a real success at Chelsea, with the likes of Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba in front of him at the club, while Demba Ba was signed months after Drogba left.

Sturridge signed for Liverpool for £12m and, so far, has been worth every penny. The young English prospect has scored a total of five goals in nine appearances, becoming the third Liverpool player to score three goals in his first three games.

The ex-Chelsea striker feels he is at the right club now to kick-start his career, find stability and give the fans what their club payed to see.

Coming up through the Manchester City academy, Sturridge then moved to Chelsea in 2006. With the arrival of Torres the club felt it was best to loan Sturridge, so he moved to Bolton Wanderers. This loan spell was a success as he scored eight goals in 12 appearances, including one on his debut.

Sturridge believes he will be at Liverpool for a long time and add more silverware to the already packed Liverpool trophy cabinet.

Already showing a good connection with strike-partner Suarez, Sturridge believes it will only get better as time commences.

Rodgers is all about young players, and if Sturridge is just one of the players that he is going to bring in with a bright futures then the sky is the limit for this manager and Liverpool.
